Excellent commentary (read below) but buyer beware! I would suggest not buying this set USED on amazon as many sellers are only selling a single volume of the 10 volume set but not mentioning it. I paid $58 only to receive a used volume 8 for Jeremiah and Lamentations.With that being said I have since acquired this set elsewhere after using the commentary multiple times online. I've read through many commentaries when trying to find the meaning of certain verses or passages and I've found that Keil and Delitzsch is almost always my favorite commentary with the most information. Although written in the late 1800's it doesn't feel like it. They often explore other's viewpoints and arguments even when they don't agree and share information supporting and disputing. If you are on the edge trying to decide to buy this commentary, find a verse that confuses you and look it up on biblehub.com to read Keil and Delitzsch commentary on that verse. It sells itself much better than I could.

Great tool for researching information on the old testament. Also gives history and explanation on scriptures.

This Old Testament commentary set is the best that has ever been published. It replaces a set I once owned that I donated - with others- to a church years ago. Then I discovered my loss. I am absolutely delighted to have this in my library again. It is as complete as it is definitave!

I am very happy with the volume I received (the Psalms). The description led me to believe all 10 volumes of the Commentary were included in the offer. Too good to be true, I guess.
This is definitely for the serious Bible student. It is not light reading. However, it is an excellent work - very enlightening and scholarly written
I have the hardback books and hoped to read on . However, in this edition, there is duplication of chapters and missing text.
